Considering that reconciliation refers to the process of ensuring that two sets of records are in agreement. The economic ownership of the minority and the majority in this country are not in agreement. Drunken hugs at rugby and soccer are not enough a basis for reconciliation. We must eradicate inequality first. Then we can have a discussion about reconciliation and social-cohesion. Until then lets not fool each other. Let us not piss on the brave acts of Umkhonto weSizwe which was launched on this day in 1961 and led us to the freedom, albeit incomplete, we enjoy today.
