Construction of Asama High School Contributes in the Enrollment of 295 Girls in South Kordofan Cognizant of the need to empower girls through education for effective future participation and representation in decision making bodies, UNDP recently constructed a high school for girls in the conflict stricken city of Kadugli ,South Kordofan following consultation with the local community. The recently built school has contributed to the enrollment of 295 students till current date. Teachers in the fields of natural resources management, socioeconomic and other political processes have been deployed by the Ministry of Education for the school. The project was jointly implemented by the Sudan Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration (DDR) Commission and UNDP.
