Contaminated Blood Campaign have received this email from Alistair Burt notifying us of a Contaminated Blood meeting in London over 2 days in April. It is open to everyone but you must RSVP to Sam Mackewn [email protected] and tell her which day you will be attending so that they have an idea of numbers. Glenn Following the Prime Ministers public commitment to look again at the State’s response to the contaminated blood issue, a small group of MPs has been liaising with No 10, as we share a belief that what has happened so far has not been good enough. We are conscious that the Penrose Inquiry in Scotland is shortly to report, which may have a bearing on the rest of the UK, so no one is yet in any position to make decisions. But we are keen that even at this stage our discussions are as open as possible, and with that in mind we are proposing to hold two meetings in the House of Commons for you to attend if you wish. We would like to let you know of our discussions and thoughts so far and listen to you. We will be open and honest and do our best to answer any questions you may have. The meetings will be from 2-4pm on the 8th & 9th of April. It is important you RSVP and let us know what meeting you would like to attend so we have a note of numbers. Please do not worry if you cannot attend the meeting; we will continue to keep you up to date via email and there will be other opportunities to contribute towards the discussions.
