Continued... Obama Care sucks. As most people did in early October they checked out coveroregon . While going through the motions I was literally forced to apply for Medicaid because we were below a certain threshold. Even though I knew we wouldnt qualify I couldnt go any deeper into purchasing my own insurance because the site just doesnt work as intended. After speaking with Cover Oregon for the past 4 weeks they not only have never processed our data they are now saying that they will not be able to make a deadline of November 14th to give me my true options. This is not ok! The insurance we have now requires us to re-up by tomorrow or we lose coverage for all of 2014. The Cover Oregon Rep said I should ask for an extension due to there error. So I did and was turned down and they had the balls to ask if I begged them. Seriously? They are so nice at giving you lip service over the phone too like they were trained by Al Gore themselves. Did I mention that the plan we are currently on is no longer available in 2014? (Obama Lie) Our deductible goes up by $5000 a person and $12000 for the family. Services are now only covered up to 80% instead of a 100%. Our premiums also went up about 20% . But at the end of the year I get a huge tax break which would essentially give me $7000 in Government welfare. Yeah this should turn out fantastick. My best case scenario at this point is juggling 3 different insurance providers for each one of us just to make it as affordable as what we had. Did you also know that when they consider the word affordable it is only for a singular person? They do not take your family into account when figuring affordability from a workplace provided insurance. So F*** you To everyone who had a hand in this pile of dung. Liars Cheats and bums. Lets vote for em they say. Theyll make a difference they say. Dare I say the republicans might have been right?
