Continuing on in Matthew 8, with Isaiah 53. Thank you for taking a look † (Matthew 8:14-17) And when Jesus was come into Peters house, he saw his wifes mother laid, and sick of a fever. Peters mother-in-law. But. Peter having a wife is he not Peter called the first pope? Unnecessary burdens that make up mans tradition that lead to legalism, and bondage. Bondage to mans made up doctrine. Those who do it have their reward, this life. Peter is of course the rock who Christ built the Church upon. Peter first job to feed the lambs (babes), and the sheep (more mature in Christ). Mans made up doctrine puts that lump in (ruining all) what should be the bread of life--unleavened bread. If they knew love they would honor the Father. LET NO MAN separate what God has joined together. 15And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them. (She did NOT have an evil spirit. It is the fever that left her. A general term for being pretty sick here. Just a touch of Christ and it will be done. Another false doctrine we see now (but this is an old religious doctrine). That if someone is sick they have an evil spirit. Ugh. They cannot see further than their own face. We ask when they die of a disease will it be an evil spirit? Seriously? This en extremely cruel doctrine. Nowhere is it written that sickness or a handicap is exclusive to having an evil spirit. Christ rebuked, reproved, and corrected these religious nuts for this very reason (John 9 one of many examples, Job another. Theyd be like Jobs motor mouth friends. Speaking in the name of God, but ignorant). 16When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: (House cleaning, the only power over them. The name of Jesus the Christ. This is why we use HIS name. Not our own words, take care of business. See, the first step is faith. Coming to Him is that first step in faith. But, one must look at their reasoning for doing so. If the motive is not humbling ones self as a little child, saying, teach me. Then they can forget it. Contrary, to many posters the LORD does not just take a person as they are. It should be correctly said, He takes them as they are when they are humble. Saying, teach me. The end of pride and exalting ones self begins there). (Isaiah 53:6) All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity (lawlessness from the motives of the heart) of us all. (A sheep going astray in the wilderness. Not teachable by the LORD with that shepherds rod for our own good. Amazingly enough, the sheep are always a bit resistant to that at first, defensive, ornery, grouchy, stubborn. But after awhile see THE shepherd has their best interest. They dont even consider it then). 17That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses. And here it is, (Isaiah 53:3-5) He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. (Overall, the transfer, the heaviest price in ransom of ALL time. Released from being a prisoner). (Isaiah 53:8) He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. (Soon, we will go over each transfer specific. Because it is very important too. It is an awesome study, that appeals to our human emotions correctly in which Christ suffered, showing and teaching us how to have faith, then living by it. Then feeling correctly. Gods outstretched arm is really an outstretched in pleading with us). (Isaiah 53:10) Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. Amen †
