Continuing the review of Imagine section, my grandfather was much obliged and thrilled to write a review on all the stories in the Musings section as well. Musings: 10) The Last Letter by Dipankar Mukherjee: The filial love and affection a father in the death bed - bestowed over his daughter on that 10th and last of her birthday - flashing through the memories of the past - So exquisitely picturised - Kudos to the author. 11) The Face on the Canvas by Pradeep Kumar Moitra: A ladys lonely visit to a tiny village (deserted) - stranded at nightfall, with the hospitality of solitary old man - depicted so nicely with fondling love of family-tie. 12) Arranged Marriage by Japneet Boyal: The arranged marriage of Kashish with Rohan with all his endearing attachment living at a far distant place (foreign country) leaving her native surroundings (in India) could not bring her coveted happiness all round - but yet, the loss of her only child at birth - with eventful sudden blissful scene - burst into tears from the depth of the heart - crystallized distinctly clear. 13) Bachelor and Baby by Jagadish Nadanalli: The tie of love and affection spontaneously bestowed towards the baby girl - distorted by ostracism of parents of the baby - and the final say of the baby acknowledging his invaluable gift - well brought out by this piece. 14) Hopes and Promises by Rahul Biswas: The plight of a twice divorcee involved in between himself and two ladies coming across his life, so well poised with an abrupt end - leaving it to the readers own imagination - a thrilling suspense indeed. 15) A Shackled Destiny by Shravya Gunipudi: The overflow of passionate love and affection of the mother, disturbed by sudden missing child - expressed in as much poignant and soul-stirring way. 16) Rendezvous by Shloka Shankar: True friendship ever lasts while ego-centered eschewed culminating in ecstatic joy at reunion - a well-knit piece with subtle expression. 17) Hide and Seek by Niranjan Navalgund: Staying anonymous yet quizzing with each other (from the website) Hide and Seek question in main answered in abstract - the vast virtual world in life - so inquisitive left for readers own impression. 18) Mandira by Anupama Jain: How the turn of events change for a professional lade doctor after the demise of her mother and the last wish of her sinking father - dedicating herself for a social cause - explicitly narrated - as life of service of humanity is service the lord supreme - perhaps her aim. 19) Finding Mia by Roopa Raveendran Menon: How the terrible shock by the accident involving her inseparable schoolmate affected her mental plane - whether cured or mitigated - left to readers own perspective. - V.Srinivasan. So, thats about it. After giving this review, he adds, These are well chosen and carefully handpicked stories which made it one of the best anthologies of recent times and also says that every story is one of a kind and that his heart was content after reading a wonderful book. PS: Hope this review was helpful. :)
