Contract type Permanent Independence Support Workers • Looking for a new career? • Do you have the skills to work with young people between 16-18yrs; to prepare them for moving on from residential care to independent living? • Do you have minimum NVQL3 literacy or GCSE /English grade D? Or • Are you willing to train for a NVQL3 (or above) funded by the company? If so, then there is an exciting opportunity waiting for the right person in this developing field. PIERS aims to ensure young people have the best possible start when leaving care. The role involves working with young people to develop their independence / life skills. You will provide support and guidance where appropriate to the young people. You will, on occasions, advocate on their behalf with partnering agencies, college, finding employment to name a few.
