Convicted Guyanese power-lifter Mr. Clean asks for leniency and gets time served: He wrote the following letter to the Sentencing judge: Letter of apology to Honorable Judge M. Brodie DATE: 08/26/2014 09:56:51 AM August 26, 2014 Dear Honorable Judge Margo Brodie, My name is Colin Chesney. First I would like to take full responsibility for my actions for this terrible crime Ive committed. The media back home in Guyana has put my face on TV as a public disgrace. Ive shamed my family and most of all myself. Ive worked hard at becoming the best body builder and weight lifter my whole life. I finally reached a place to be recognized in my profession and Ive watched it all torn down by the results of this horrific action on my part. I beg you your Honor to be as lenient as your Honor can be. i have taken pride in being a weight lifter and I have made my country proud of me, and be able to walk with my head held high. Only God knows what my people think of me now.. may i also add that i have never been in trouble with the law before now, as I always pride myself to be a law abiding citizen.Your honor i want for nothing more than to get back to Guyana and my family to show them am not a bad person. I am still begging you your Honor for you to have some leniency with me. Your Honor, I promise you that I will never ever put myself in this position again. I really regret what I have done to my family and my country, knowing that I am an ambassador for my country in weight lifting. Your Honor please accept my sincere apology. I wish to God in a very big way if i could change back the hands of time in not making this very foolish decision which has placed me in this situation.
