Take the front cover of last weeks Sunday World - but, thats only one article - we are being bombarded constantly - read this post that was posted to our page and see how deep it really runs! Post to page from Paul Sinclair I have worked in advertising for over 30 years and each agency had an associated PR company and believe me, I know how SPIN works and I know how advertising and branding is designed to appeal to a particular sector or demographic. Subliminal targeting of ideas and information, made so subtly that youd think you thought of it yourself but in reality someone has just planted a seed. Watch the media when theres an election on the horizon, when the positive SPIN comes pouring out. Investment is up.... jobs have been created somewhere, banks are lending, blah, blah, blah.... all done to give the people (their target audience) a sense of ohhh maybe everything is better then I thought, so maybe Ill not complain. Listen to nothing in the media without first second guessing why theyre saying any of it. Similarly to an upcoming election, the positive SPIN will also kick into full swing when the government are in crisis... and believe me, they know theres a crisis. Even at this stage they are now targeting Sinn Fein (and no, I have no association with ANY political party) simply to dissuade people from backing them ans solely because they are playing a strong part in the anti water tax protest and equally in the anti government protests also and the attempt to tarnish them is purely to create a fracture in our fight. The tried and trusted method of divide and conquer ..... this time however destined to fail, for we are a little wiser than they. Listen people... but only listen to those you trust, those you respect and to those who youve met on this journey we now find ourselves on. The media are controlled by government and private hands and they will merely allow you hear what they think you should hear. Stay strong, stay united and stay committed and the 10th could turn out to be a very special event.
