Copied from GPRS... thank you to all the SPIN fosters, transporters and donators to the Pyrs care and well being. Rescue is not for the faint of heart, but it is for the true of heart. The rescue journey involves not just all of you tapping like. It is also the person who...arranges transports, writes bios, pulls ticks, bottle feeds, spends hours dematting and vacuuming, cleans up diarrhea and vomit (with worms in it), comforts and empathizes, screens and often befriends applicants, takes hopeful foster photos and videos, nonchalantly throws out another chewed shoe or coffee table, drives from point A to point B, wipes nervous drool from the car windows, calls in the credit card, raises the fence again, sweats the bills of another unforeseen and godawful problem, gives meds at all hours, leaves work early for the shelter or vet, fosters a problem and sees an opportunity, values the nuanced tone of a good bark, adds to a chip-in, dutifully fills in the crater in the lawn, studies the form, consistency and shade of poop, calls a trainer when the going gets tough, follows sage advice without getting snarky, does just one more share, makes the hard call when all else fails, adopts their soulmate, and trusts their fellow rescuers intentions are true. And generally forgoes other non-Pyr related things that others deem normal.
