Copied from #Tope_Fasuas wall. MY TAKE ON THE CONFERENCE .....Then i have read people lambast Lamido Adamawa for saying he and his people are ready to join Cameroon, if all the lampooning and harassment continues. Some said if they dare, the region will be leveled by Nigerian Airforce. Some said he should leave like yesterday. It is apt to ask us what do we really want sef? Why would we become so violent already because a region we have called parasite, which we lambast and curse everyday, for the waste that they caused in 40 years of rulership (which is a fallacy), now expresses the readiness to make our dreams come through? Why are some finding it impossible to face up to the reality that the very next logical step for Nigeria, given our demeanor, and the sedimentation of loose hurtful words, lies, hatred over the years, is a disintegration? The Lamido merely sent us on an excursion in Geography (one of the largest regions/states in Cameroon, is called Adamawa). At this point i want to once again ask why, despite every country in Africa having being merged haphazardly by colonialists, only Nigeria is prominently pulling itself apart. Another aside; I shouted hoarse in the beginning days of this Boko Haram problem that we devolved quickly into tribal wars instead of seeing a bigger picture. Reports in recent days have shown that many of those guys are mercenaries, and sometimes they get air cover, with helicopters dropping supplies. So if Paul Biya hatches a plan, backed by Fraance or whoever, to annex more of Nigerian territory (having taken oil-rich Bakassi under Obj), this is how we would be gallivanting all over the place like Chimpanzees with our PHD certificates? We better be ready in the medium term, to see Adamawa go. It is a fact that the Adamawa inside Cameroon is bigger than its Nigerian counterpart. And that the region inside Cameroon, hold the Lamido that is inside Nigeria, as their Supreme traditional ruler, the descendant of the Great Adama, who formed the tribe i suppose. In Borno, the Shehu is deferred to by many tribes in Chad/Niger, just at the Sultan of Sokoto in parts of Niger/Benin/Ghana. It is we Nigerians, who dont know the value of what we have. And when you dont value what you have, you deserve it being taken from you by those who value it. It is important to point out a FACT, once again, that if Niger and Chad are getting crude oil from around Lake Chad, Nigeria has not only being myopic, reckless but also wicked, not to have make its own claim in that region. Instead, Boko Haram came, when we were poised to benefit, and we are busy fighting fires, when our neighboring countries are tapping huge economic benefits. French companies are major stakeholders in Nigerien and Chadian crude oil, most of which is exported through Cameroon. It seems a geographical war is going on, to consolidate the region under French rule. Perhaps Paul Biya is saying he can manage an even larger territory (Cameroon landmass is almost as big and diverse as Nigeria), while our own GEJs God-given Nigerian territory is about to be cannibalised. But who cares really? They say you cannot hold a man down unless you stay down with him. In the same vein, you cannot be so obsessed with Niger Delta Oil, without allowing it to subsume your very mental faculties, while it gets smaller, more endangered, and your other resources and territories go to waste or gets taken away from you. So for those who believe Adamawa should go - good riddance to bad rubbish - i say yes, at least you are not cowards, but you may be tunnel-visioned, or myopic. For those who say we will bomb them worse than they did to Biafra if they ever try, i think you are just sick...
