Cornbread saga continues … tried to follow Peggy Garners suggestion. 3 heaping tablespoons of cornmeal didnt look like enough for my 8 inch skillet, so I used my 6in. No sugar, no oil- one egg, enough milk to make it wet, but not runny. Had to push it in the hot greased skillet instead of pour it. It came out more together , quite a bit less crumbly. But dry and pretty tasteless. Maybe Ive gotten used to the sweeter taste. Or left it too dry when I mixed it. Lol. Still looking for the perfect combination.
