Grindrod on board for rail transport growth: Grindrod and its main shareholder, Remgro, have identified rail infrastructure in Africa as a major growth area. They have teamed up, through Grindrod unit, Grindrod Freight Services, and Remgro’s Pembani Remgro Infrastructure Fund, to form a new company, GPR Leasing, which would provide trains to a range of clients that want to invest in rail transportation in Africa.
