Correct me if Im wrong but using a crane with a slipping hoist break is an OSHA violation. I did my part. I filed the report. Told the supervisor and maintenance was called. Maintenance said the breaking system is messed up on it and if they tighten it anymore it will smoke the motor. So guess what had to operate with a defective jib crane and move 30 and 40 foot long material all night in loose bundles. Something that should be done with a bridge crane. Play balancing act and hope the hoist break dont go. Guess thats going to continue tonight through Saturday night.
