Could you be friends or acquaintances with someone who doesnt think all that highly of a category you happen to fall into? Say for instance, could you be friends with a man who doesnt think particularly highly of women, and youre a woman? Or, could you be cordial and regularly associate with someone who thinks lowly of the race you happen to be? Feel free to use anything else--religion, accent, nationality..its just a variable. I only ask, because Ive noticed just about everyone does this when it comes to family members, but people are often surprised when they see this happen in friendships or associations. Extremes obviously play a factor here. Theres Rich people are annoying and then theres We really need to round all the 1%-ers, drag their bodies through the streets, and take their money. I have in mind, the less extreme cases.
