Counting Down 100 Reasons to Come to the KAEE Conference! Reason #21: Session Highlight- Green Schools! Learn about resources available to K-12 schools in order to become a certified green school in Kentucky. Receive tools, training, and resources for student-led Green Teams to create healthier schools- and to save schools’ money! Participants will learn about an innovative partnership between Kentucky Green and Healthy Schools and Project Learning Tree Green schools programs and leave this session prepared and ready to green their school. These programs help students to improve their academic performance in STEM subjects and inspire students to take responsibility for improving the environment at their school, home and in their community. Several Kentucky schools have already received national recognition as Green Ribbon Schools through these programs.
