Course: CERTIFIED PEDIATRIC MASSAGE TRAINING FOR SPECIAL HEALTHCARE NEEDS Date: May 2nd and 3rd 2015 Presented by: Tina Allen , LMT, CPMMT, CPMT, CIMT The comprehensive Pediatric Massage Training for massage therapists and health care professionals provides educational and professional training to those who wish to enhance their skills. Through this training, participants learn to provide massage therapy for children with special health care needs, who are hospitalized or have been diagnosed with a terminal illness in hospice care. Pediatric massage techniques for working with children with varied physical, developmental, and mental challenges will be demonstrated and practiced during hands-on in class sessions. The benefits and importance of individualized adaptations, including cultural considerations, for using massage therapy will be explained.
