Craig McCulloch Joins Call for President Obama’s Impeachment This week, Craig McCulloch called on leaders in Congress to begin the process of impeaching President Barack Obama. “It’s time for our lawmakers to take a bold stand,” McCulloch said. “In our campaigns we all talk about sending Washington a message…well, it’s time to put our money where our mouths are and take action against this out-of-control president.” The impeachment process begins in the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on the Judiciary, which is chaired by Republican Congressman Bob Goodlatte. “It doesn’t take a hot-shot lawyer to prove the case against President Obama,” McCulloch said. “He has clearly abused his executive authority, disregarded the Constitution and misled the American people time and time again.” Last week, Gov. Sarah Palin boldly called for President Obama’s impeachment and outlined the clear-cut case the American people have against his reckless governing. “President Obama’s rewarding of lawlessness, including his own, is the foundational problem here,” Palin said. “It’s not going to get better, and in fact irreparable harm can be done in this lame-duck term as he continues to make up his own laws as he goes along, and, mark my words, will next meddle in the U.S. Court System with appointments that will forever change the basic interpretation of our Constitution’s role in protecting our rights.” Palin continued, “It’s time to impeach; and on behalf of American workers and legal immigrants of all backgrounds, we should vehemently oppose any politician on the left or right who would hesitate in voting for articles of impeachment. The many impeachable offenses of Barack Obama can no longer be ignored. If after all this he’s not impeachable, then no one is.” “I stand by, and agree with, Governor Palin. The people of Louisiana’s Sixth Congressional District are sick of President Obama’s lawlessness,” McCulloch said. “The lack of accountability in Washington, D.C. is disgusting. President Obama is waging a war on the American Dream and American exceptionalism. Thomas Jefferson’s words in the Declaration of Independence sum up where our nation stands and the choice we have to make: ‘But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.’ Our leaders have the responsibility to take action, to stand up for our Constitution and to defend our way of life.”
