CranioSacral Therapy may produce favorable changes in visual acuity. The optic nerve is attached to or in close proximity to the dural tube meningeal layers, the sphenoid bone, and sinuses. Inflammation or pressure of sinuses, pituitary gland enlargement, or tension in the orbit lining will affect the visual system. Normal dural membrane tension, cranial bone mobility, and proper functioning of the entire musculoskeletal system, especially the upper cervical vertebrae and the sacrum where the dura has bony attachments, is essential to normal functioning of the visual system.
