Create a Multi-Bootable USB : -------------------------------------- Create a Multi-Bootable USB to install Windows | Linux | Rescue Disks from a single USB to hard drive : ____________________________________________________ We will be covering 3 steps in this tutorial. I) Tools II) How to? III) Benefit first of all we need #TOOLS : ------------------------------------- YUMI ( Your Universal Multiboot Installer ) - A tool that allow a user to create bootable USB ( Pen Drive | Flash Drive ) containing multiple OSs ( Operating Systems ) from an ISO image. It is a download-and-execute program i.e it does not need to be installed anyway. Just download and run the file. how to work with #it? Download latest version of YUMI from: ------------------------------------------------- pendrivelinux/yumi-multiboot-usb-creator/ 1) start the file and click on I agree. 2) choose your USB drive from the drop down menu. *optional* - you can select format tick box to wipe up all data from drive 3) select desired distro from the drop down menu. ie (linux distro | window | rescue disks) 4) click next. then yes and wait for process to complete. 5) click yes For, say Kali Linux - All the steps are same after Step 3, just select the Kali Linux from the Drop-Down menu and select your Kali Linux ISO file. Rest of the steps are same . else click no and exit. boot your USB and install . what is #PLUS_POINT.. 1) Freedom - Option to select between multiple OSs on boot time. no need to install OSs one by one from USB as traditional USB boot creator programs like Unetbootin and others limited user to install single OS on a USB at a time. 2) LiveUSB - Most Linux distros can be tested without installing on system 3) Persistence - All the commands executed in terminal or files copied/downloaded vanishes when the live OS restarts.Persistence module gives the power to hold the data/information on the Live USB even if it is restarted . 4) Rescue Disk - Anti-virus program like Kaspersky, Norton, AVG etc provides bootable ISO file with latest virus definitions that allows a user to rescue their system when critically infected by viruses. In case when system does not boot up , rescue disk is very helpful.
