Creation of administrative units a historical decision: Sagar Minister for Rural Development and Panchayats, Mr. Ali Mohammad Sagar has termed the creation of new administrative units in the State as a historic decision, which would go a long way in accelerating the socio-economic development of the people. The Minister said that the creation of these units was a long pending demand of the people of these respective areas and the present Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has ensured that the creation takes place and the demands of the of these areas are met. He said that this step is a historic one and would ensure the sustain development of different areas of the State. Mr. Sagar also complimented the Cabinet Sub Committee (CSC) for projecting the demands of the people and the deputations who had come to put forth their view point and these were also accommodated. He said that it is rendezvous of the Government to work for overall and sustained development of the State and this landmark decision is a watershed in the history, which would ensure the acceleration and speedy implementation of various welfare programmes of the Government. The Minister further maintained that the creation of 177 Blocks in the State would ensure that the rural areas get developed on a faster pace and rural economic gets a big boosts. He said that this decision of the government would go a long way in accelerating the pace of development of various rural and far-flung areas of the State.
