Creekside Pediatrics is announcing the Retirement of Dr. Marilyn Kaufman. We have built a family here at Creekside with her at the Helm as the founder of Kaufman Pediatrics over 23 years ago. Some of us have worked along side of her for as many as 20 years. We have laughed, cried, and shared our families and lives through the years with each other. Her last day here at the Practice will be June 30, 2014. We will be holding a retirement celebration here at the office on Friday June 20th, 2014 at 6pm. Patients are welcome to attend to wish her well. We will truely miss her as we know that her patients will as well. Dr. Kaufman would like to share her letter of resignation with each of you. Dear Patients, Parents, Families and Friends: Many of you have already heard, but I wanted to send out a formal letter informing you of my decision to retire this summer. I have really struggled with this decision, but believe the time is right. It’s hard to believe that it has been almost 23 years since I opened the doors of Kaufman Pediatrics. Many of the children that came to me as patients during the early years are now bringing their children to me, and certainly that is an honor and a joy. Confucius said, “Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life.” I have been fortunate to have a career that I have truly loved. Our logo when we first opened our doors was “Caring, Growing, Sharing” and I feel like that is exactly what we have done. My life has been so blessed and enriched by knowing each one of you. I feel honored to have been allowed to provide medical care for you and for your children, privileged with the confidences you have shared, and still amazed by the beauty, wonder, and joy of children. Many of you have asked who you should see after I leave. If you already have a relationship with one of the other doctors in the practice and desire to switch to them, you may call the office and make that request. However, I would like to inform you that we have hired a new pediatrician who will start after I leave. Her name is Dr. Yassmin Yousef, and we are very excited to add her to our Creekside family. She is young, energetic, passionate, and compassionate. We believe that she will be a great asset to our practice. My hope is that most of you will use Dr. Yousef as your Primary Care Physician. We will be providing you with information about her in the near future. I thank each of you for the time we have spent together, and I pray that your future is filled with good health and happiness.
