FOX TOPIX: What do you think of drug testing people on welfare? Lawmakers are looking at a bill that would drug test people on welfare. Wednesday, the House passed legislation that approves a pilot program for at least three counties, in Michigan. If that bill is signed, welfare recipients under suspicion of substance abuse, refusing to take a drug test, would lost assistance for at least six months. Those who test positive for the first time would be offered treatment and still get their benefits, but repeat offenders would be kicked out of the program.
