Crime Update since last Thursday. WARNING!! If there are spelling mistakes or some bits that dont make sense (which I know you all love finding and mocking!) please forgive me, there are quite a few for me to read and type up!! 10 House burglaries 3 Burglary Others 8 Theft from Vehicles 5 Theft of Vehicles 1 Arson House Burglaries 1: Le Gendre Street, Tonge Offender/s entered through unlocked window into the lounge. Once inside, the curtains were closed and a TV stolen. Exit was through the backdoor using the keys. 2: Abbotsford Road, Smithills Offender entered through closed but unlocked back door and forcing entry through the back gate. Once inside, cash from a wallet and a playstation was unplugged and stolen. Upon searching upstairs and finding residents son playing offender made off. 3: Devonshire Road, Heaton Offender/s force entry through back door using a spade and subsequently steal water purifier, toaster, kettle and other kitchen goods before making off. 4: Threadfold Way, Astley Bridge Unknown means of entry into a garage. Offender/s stole a pedal cycle and a body warmer and jacket. 5: Halliwell Road, Crompton Offender entered house through unlocked front door and stole TV. 6: Blair Lane, Bradshaw Offender/s attempted to force back window but failed to gain entry. 7: Chapman Street, Smithills Offender/s kicked panel of rear door in an attempt to gain entry. Nothing stolen. 8: Towncroft Lane, Heaton Offender/s have attempted to smash a window of a house using a boulder from behind the garage. This caused the alarm to sound and the offender/s made off. 9: Conway Avenue, Smithills Offender/s used a rock to smash the window and gain entry. Once inside the internal door was forced open and items including watches, jewellery, computers, cash and shoes were stolen. 10: Longford Avenue, Smithills Insecure door: offender/s entered and stole keys, bank cards and subsequently the vehicle. Burglary Others 1: Shorefield Mount, Bromley Cross Offender/s force garage door open and stole pedal cycle and hedge trimmer. Following this the car insecure on the driveway was entered and foodstuffs were stolen. 2: Chorley New Road, Lostock Insecure garage: Hi-Fi, headphones and CD were stolen. 3: Chorley Old Road, Smithills Door forced from its frame at a shop. Nothing was stolen. Theft from Vehicles 1: Singleton Avenue, Breightmet Window smashed: purse and cash stolen. 2: Back Haslam Terrace, Tonge Insecure car: handbag stolen. 3: Hind Street, Tonge Fold Insecure vehicle: meter equipment stolen. 4: Cemetary Road, Tonge Insecure vehicle: cash stolen. 5: Belmont Road, Astley Bridge Wheels and door stolen from vehicle. 6: Presall Street, Tonge Wheel stolen from vehicle. 7: Ainsworth Lane, Tonge All 4 wheels were stolen from vehicle and repalced with old ones. 8: Bury Road, Breightmet Smashed window: Sat Nav, wallet and MOT certificate stolen. Theft of Vehicles 1: Eldon Street, Tonge Quad bike and mini moto stolen from garden. Orange Apachi RLX100 still oustanding! 2: Chorley New Road, Lostock Secure mini digger stolen. Red/Grey Takeuchi reg: Q131NDY. Still outstanding! 3: Eldon Street, Tonge Fence panel lifted up and motorcycle stolen. Keyway reg: PO62HTA. Still outstanding! 4: Victoria Road, Horwich Unknown entry and unknown how it was started but the car was driven away. Later found abandoned in Farnworth. 5: Darwen Road, Bromley Cross Motocycle stolen by unknown means. Keyway Hurricaine: reg PF14CKY. Still oustanding! Arson 1: Darwen Road, Egerton Offender/s remove items from inside garage and proceed to set alight to the garage damaging the garage and vehicle inside. Pedal cycles were stolen from inside. In addition there were also: 7 Shoplifting 5 Criminal Damages 2 Drug Offences 13 Assault & Harassments 11 Other Thefts including making off without paying for fuel at petrol stations and not paying taxi fare!!
