Crime Watch During the week under review, the Liberia national Police arrested four suspects for their alleged involvement in the Burglary incident that took place on the 14th of April 2014 at the International Bank Limited Liberia branch located in Paynesville. The police investigation has so far established that over 2million Liberian Dollars were allegedly stolen from the bank while 183 thousand plus United States Dollars were also made away in the alleged burglary incident. Those currently undergoing investigation are as follow: 1. (Ballah David—38) 2. (Parker Kolliepelle) 3. (Julia Gayema—38) 4 (Benjamin Dweh—35) In a related development, Police in Monrovia are currently investigating an alleged armed robbery incident that took place on April 18, 2014. The alleged armed robbery incident was reported by victim Peter Soma a resident of Tubman Boulevard. The victim told police investigators that the robbers were armed with single barrel short gun and were five in number and allegedly raped his daughter. The LNP also investigating an alleged Negligent Homicide case which occurred at the Sarco Yard, in the Stockton Creek Community. The incident resulted into the death of two minors namely Ben Roberts’ age 2yr, and Chinese Girl Bloh age 4yr. The victims were found dead in an abandon black BMW car in a garage. Police preliminary investigation has established that the two minors died as the result of suffocation. Homicide officers are currently investigating the owner of the garage Sedeke Kanneh and three others. The Professional Standards Division of the Liberia National Police that is responsible for the control of the professional conduct of police officers has for the months of January to April 2014 received the total number of 169 complains from the public against police officers. These cases rang from misused of power to Extortion of money respectively. Out of the 169 complains against police officers 44 cases have been investigated and action taken against officers who were held liable while 125 are pending investigation due to the lack of complainant’s cooperation with the Professional Standards to have their cases heard. Meanwhile, the Authority of the Liberia National Police is calling on the public to report any police misconduct by writing a former complain to the offices of the Inspector General of the Liberia National police for redress
