(Crisis In Urban America: Ready 4 Real Change At The Local Level) The world is watching thanks in part to social media like Twitter, You Tube, and Facebook. The unrest in Ferguson, Missouri following the shooting of an unarmed black teen Mike Brown by a police officer on August 9, 2014. The small suburb of St. Louis has become like a scene back in the 60’s with police in riot gear clearing out buildings, blocking roadways and throwing tear gas at news reporters and peaceful protesters demanding answers. The powers that be “financial elites” in main stream media would rather fill airtime with comedy, sports, and celebrity gossip as a distraction from real issues which matters. In America, the police should not be bullying or arresting journalist for doing their job. The Ferguson incident is a clear reminder why the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement is needed in the black community. Chicago’s history of police brutality goes back to the late 60’s. The Jon Burge torture cases in Chicago runs deep in the African American Community which is a reality in this day age. Burge is a former Chicago police commander accused of torturing suspects to gain false confessions. It’s been twenty two years my vision to improve Urban America has been ignored by established black organizations in my city. Yet none of our black leaders has a plan to end urban violence in America. Thank God that we live in the information age. As soon as I can generate enough capital from my book proceeds then I will hire thirty qualified individuals to help me run the daily operations of my business starting in Chicago. GRCAM is a Christian Socialist organization which will be a private for profit service based business. It will have three main components: a social service component, a spiritual component, and a political component. Our focus will be to provide goods and services to the low income African American communities and working directly with single black mothers, single black fathers, and low income two parent families within the communities and cities we will serve. Our agenda is to end urban violence, gun violence, poverty, structural inequality, institutionalized racism, and police brutality within the communities and cities we will serve if given a chance. I want to make Chicago a model first before we expand to 25 other cities within 25 states. Such as: Alabama; Arkansas; California; Connecticut; Florida; Georgia; Illinois; Indiana; Kansas; Louisiana; Maryland; Michigan; Minnesota; Mississippi; North Carolina; New Jersey; New York; Ohio; Oklahoma; Pennsylvania; Texas; Tennessee; Virginia; Washington; and Wisconsin. My vision goes beyond Urban America. Once my organization is established in 25 states I plan to expand abroad to Africa to start a chapter in 25 countries. We will wait until conditions of eboli bacteria is under control before we go to Liberia. We will also start a chapter in Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, and do our research to see if people want and need our services. We will offer private employment to our clients and members based on our budget and sponsorship. This organization will provide infrastructure for clean running water, agricultural technology to feed the people, and most of all educate our people about the problems with Capitalism and show them an alternative GRCAM. I will also expand my organization to Brazil and the Caribbean Islands to people that want and need their services.
