Critic Review: Kontiniyo by Camstar Ft Macky 2 & Muzo aka Alphonso. This a motivation song that has Camstar ,Macky 2 and Muzo aka Alphonso, simply hustle music. Camstar may be seen as the heart of Alpha Ent giving his boss Macky 2 a much needed international feel but things have not gone well as the artist has given us a few signs since getting signed last year. Camstar is no longer an undergod anymore but despite going commercial, he has kept his lyrical composure tight though not tight as it was under Diamond Chain. However , Capital has satisfying verse for any Mainstream music lover. Inspired by the late great rhymer Biggie who was born today ,Camstar reminds fans that despite becoming the first lyricist to rap on a dunka among those who rhyme in English, he still has the delivery and dope two syllable lyrics. Unlike today’s tight jeaned rappers that sound like they rehearse with Roberto, Camstar has the aggression. Muzo aka Alphonso has being giving rappers something to think about their rhyming techiniques.Kasama’s finest. doesn’t shows why he has been racing with Chef 187 fairly as he has a dope flow lacking of contents like metaphors.Best bars are ” Amaka yesu tayaba muchunsu/ ni mumu shipa so palauka walaba aba Nesu/”. Considering Muzo’s caliber they may be deemed as average. Macky 2 fails to put up a good chorus by providing a three syllable rhyme that repeats its self [Kontiniyo Kokontiniyo , Kontiniyo koKontiniyo, Kontiniyo koKontiniyo,]. Despite the poor repeated auto-tuned chorus ,Macky 2 puts up four dope pre-chorus bars. fweba panga ama hit na church choir / fweba lishamo nama bigy buyer / tatu fwaya chuma echitu fwaya /nga uzonda uzakota chikubaba /,Macky 2 raps The subject matter of pushing isn’t anything new to Hip-Hop fans but Camstar performs well lyrically even better than Muzo to make us forget the lack of raw topics.On the third verse has a slight storyline mixed with braggadocio allowing us to see the other side of the man who used to rhyme with the legend C.R.I.$.I.$ rapping “DJs couldn’t play me back then ,look at me now/ got groupies going wild when I give em a smile/ was hustling with Crisizzo, Taz/, Killa and Mag/ made a little bit of cash/ but am still here and what ama do is....”. Capital may have shocked the Hip-Hop nation by joining the Dunka boat but this time he sonically takes this one back home.It aint surprising from a rapper that listens to Ace Hood to be rapping on a Dirty South typical beat.The beat isn’t special with usual yet outdated loop of 808 Kicks and lazy snare rolls [this is not Camstar’s part but the producer’s] . The hype of Macky 2 and Muzo gives the song a boost but don’t get twisted Camstar has the sickest bars on this average instrumental. Overall this song may struggle to earn respect to feature on the top ten songs released this year so far due to the uncreative beat and the robotic chorus. With 5 weeks to go before we cover the half of 2014 ,Camstar may have drop more joints to earn his respect among top ten contenders like Holstar, Chef 187,Pilato, Roxa,Macky 2,So Sick, Kai,Nick Pro,Muzo, Stevo, Eddie Black, J.O.B,Xsiq, Telique, Don Fidelis,Shimasta, Chaa,Bobby East and a few others who have released hot tracks.
