Cross Country Update from Coach Lowe: Platte County hosted their annual meet at Platte Ridge Park on Thursday, September 18th. The Jays were still depleted from injury and sickness but the runners that took to the course generally fared well. Daniel Cicha was again the top runner clocking in with a time of 18:32 which is his fastest, competitive time on the course so far. Daniel finished 13th in the varsity race a couple minutes behind the winner who set a new course record. Andrew Cicha was the second Jay to cross the finish line and he ran the course in a new over all personal best time of 20:33, taking 14 seconds off of his previous best time. In the Junior Varsity race, Alex Rose was the Jays top runner with a time of 21:54. Justin Howard also had a good day on the course, finishing in a new PR time of 22:15. Keep up the good work Justin. The Blue Jays will next race on Tuesday, September 23rd at Smithville. Come on out and see our Jays run! Way to go Jays!!
