CrossFit Day 70! FUN ONE! I read it and said, oh, Im ALL.OVER.THAT.ONE. (not to be misinterpreted to mean I believed I would crush it, rather that it just sounded so fun I didnt want to miss it!). PS - today is THREE consecutive days at the box for me! Three is a data pattern people!! OK - I digress. Want to know what the WOD was? Read ON - and it gets SUSPENSEFUL, too! Wod for time: (I got 21:37... hence the suspense) - 800m Run - 50 Alt Pistols - 75 Pull-ups - 1K Row 22min Time Cap So - did you read TIME CAP? Right. So - 800m fine... not fast (am never fast). Pistols... fine. Pullups -- well, if you dont go to the box regularly, youd be surprised how much your bar endurance suffers. I hit the bar at about 8 minutes and frankly thought I was fine. Right. No. Did all in sets of 5. Hit the rower at 17 something and THEN realized my 1K time is around 5 minutes (WITHOUT having run half a mile, done 50 pistols, OR 75 pull-ups....!) So, I pretty much panicked. Out of sheer determination of will (I refused to not finish this WOD) - AND a lot of your usual CrossFitter fellow athlete support, I may have actually rowed my fastest 1K to date. =) Special thanks to CrossFit Trainers Julie Furneisen and Laura Clift for keeping me on track in the row. It was brutal. Good times.
