Cruzbike Xtracycle configuration thoughts... The electric assist prototype far exceeded my expectations on a recent overnight camping trip! We are about to start making the new adapter design with laser cut pieces, and perhaps one last prototype around a 20 rear wheel. This would give the most torque and power with an electric motor, and drop the load 3, make things more stable and stiffer. Cant wait to try this version. Well plan to offer 3 Xtracycle kits, ST Sport Touring with 700x35mm Marathons and custom built rear wheel with a 135mm front hub from Surly without a cassette and full spike width triangulation. (Build pix coming soon). This is for the touring purist that wants to pedal themsves because electric assist is cheating ;) The ET, Electric Touring version with 26 rear electric kit wit 26x2.15 rear Big Apple +. And the UT, Urban Touring or Utility Transport, with a torquey 20 rear electric wheel for max. boost and power.
