Curious, I had to look for Petron Plus on the Internet. In the mid 1980s, I heard a man talk about this fabulous friction reducer. I owned a 1979 Jeep CJ5 and put Petron Plus in the motor, differentials and in the standard transmission. I had the following experience. My gas mileage went up about 2 miles per gallon. That was fantastic on a straight 6 engine. But what was really telling me how it reduced friction was placing this in my manual 3 speed transmission. The clutch was properly adjusted. But for about 500 miles after adding the Petron Plus, I had to make sure I had my transmission in Reverse when I wanted to back up, before I started the engine. There were no sycronizers for Reverse and if I forgot to put it in Reverse before starting it, it would spin and I would not be able to get it into gear. Why? Because that Petron Plus was in there. The Jeep had many more miles before I sold it, and I never had any problems with transmission, or differential, or engine. I think it is fantastic stuff.
