Current tourist situation Please be advised that the curfew implemented by the Thai military yesterday does apply to tourists. Travellers must be back in hotels by 22h00 and are not allowed to leave until 05h00 the next morning. The curfew does not apply to those travelling to or from airports, but travellers must have passports and tickets on-hand. Anyone departing out of Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang International Airports are advised to allocate at least four hours prior to their scheduled flight departure time. Businesses and public services (such as public transport, shops, bars, clubs and restaurants) are adjusting their operating hours to comply with the curfew. The army is sending soldiers and vehicles to escort protesters away from rally sites to end the protests. During this time, anyone currently visiting Bangkok should avoid areas where rally sites are situated as there will be large crowds. Travellers are advised to follow local media for updates.
