Found the project partners and wrote the 7 FP projects that included the partnerships of Italian, UK, Lithuanian, Estonian companies. The projects valued from 1.5 million to 8 million euros. The projects covered the following aspects: the technological state-of-the-art; the innovation’s complementation with the European laws and standards; the economical impact to the enterprises that would apply the technological innovation to their products; the economical, environmental, scientific and technological impact of the innovation in European market (PEST); the cost-benefit analysis; the project budget; GANTT; PERT; the project management structure; intellectual property related issues. Achievements Before me the company was not providing the 7th FP services. It was my initiative to start this kind of services and be the one who provides them. As a result company acquired a new competence and the possibility to provide financial consulting services not only for small and medium enterprises but also to the big international organizations that seek European funds. Commercialization Performed the public relations, lobbying and related activities in order to commercialize the company’s services in Italy and Lithuania. Prepared informative reports (choosing the specific sector and client related funding programs and identifying the solutions for funding access – advantages and possibilities of one EU program over the other) to the potential clients operating in the different market sectors (health care, fashion, information technologies, mechanical engineering). Achievements Closed the first company’s 7th FP contract ever. Created the possibility for this consulting company to become the official member of Lithuania’s National Aeronautics Technological Platform – that gives the possibility to the consulting company to provide the services (7th Framework Programme, structural funds, internationalization and other) to all the research institutions and enterprises that are the members of this platform (over twenty organizations). Structural Funds – Lithuanian structural funds for the period 2007-2013 (SF). Monitored the Lithuanian structural funds, prepared the reports of the different support measures for the different sector enterprises (information technologies, energy) and public institutions (INFORMEST). Planned and organized the fund access preparation activities of the Italian organizations that want to access the structural funds in Lithuania. Achievements Closed the contract with the first company’s SF related clients in Lithuania. This opened the strategy to provide the consulting services in other countries. As the result company used the same approach later when going to the Romanian market. Offset activities – international compensation agreement activities when Italian Alenia Aeronautica sold the army planes to Lithuanian government Partner search for offset projects. Organization and managing the business to business meetings and closure of contracts. Achievements Found the project partners in Lithuania for two Alenia Aeronautica offset projects presented (Italian Aerospace Research Centre and Telbios s.p.a.) - the first project covered the value of 1.5 million euro and the second project targets to cover 12 million euro. These were the first offset projects closed by SMP Consulting company, and due to this success the company closed other offset consulting service contracts in Romania. Internationalization activities Performed the business opening activities in Lithuania and Latvia for the Italian clients. Found and employed the needed human resources (directors, accountants, managers) and organized the operational resources (accounting, facilities and etc.). Performed the market research services for the organizations working in different sectors (footwear, wood processing, mechanical engineering, information technologies, aeronautics, healthcare and other) and covering different countries (Italy, Lithuania, Sweden, Latvia, Slovakia). Performed the specialized market research for the Italian enterprises wanting to invest in India – the report was ordered and published by the Italian state agency Sviluppo Lazio in 2007. Achievements Created the cooperation link with the Lithuanian Development Agency- the state agency supporting businesses. That resulted in SMP Consulting being chosen as the referent consulting company during the International mechanical engineering workshop “Trademeeting 2007” trademeeting.lt organized in Lithuania. SMP Consulting company closed the contracts and became coordinator of eight Italian enterprises that participated in the event.
