This review is from: My 7 Seconds In Hell....the Complete Story (Kindle Edition) Dale Garrett, a member of my church -and former alumni from my old high school (Plant City Senior High School, in central Florida), and a true Christian who goes out of his way to help people, has written about a very difficult part of his life: He was addicted to Methamphetamine aka Meth. In the 1st part of his book here, he tells about how he got addicted and then got nearly burnt to death in a meth lab explosion. Being a drug addict can lead to prison time, be VERY dangerous -and very costly to your family -your marriage and children -but he is beating the habit: He explains how... His story is not about him, but about how Jesus was faithful and pulled him out of a deadly lifestyle. In this follow-up to his freshman book, My 7 Seconds In Hell, he not only includes graphic photos of himself right after the accident (and some old navy photos), but also a little about his background. He not only made poor choices in drug use, but also in marriage and dating - learn from Dales mistakes, so that you dont have to repeat them! Find out about the various camps, ministries, and programs that helped him. For the price, it is well-worth it: Dale speaks from the heart, and you know that he is telling you the truth, and with no harmful or selfish motives. This book (and his other one) are small enough (and priced just right) to help many a prisoner (both in jails, prisons, and in habit-prisons, chained and trapped by the drug), so I highly recommend both books. Its a very scary predicament he put himself in and he informs everyone on how he became to love the Lord, to spite the fire. We can all learn a very valuable lesson from Dale, that is; we all need to have a relationship with the Lord He will guide us and support us like nobody else can. This review is from: My 7 Seconds In Hell The complete Story_ (Paperback) I just read Dales book. It was almost like he was telling my story. I too was a crackhead for years before discovering meth. I too completely walked away from crack after discovering meth. I too spent time in jail due to my meth addiction. The only contrast is that I never actually manufactured it. I was present while it was being manufactured and I did sell it for a few years. Meth is truly the devils drug and whole heartedly believe that God or death are the only two ways youre walking away from a meth addiction. This book touched me very deeply.
