Cyber war is a term that has been abused today, and even politicians are jumping in with terrible suggestions and unfounded accusations as the talking heads yank their chains.... And I just read the creepiest interview with a reptile named George Clooney on Deadline where he is so wrapped up in his own American flag (and strictly for his own benefit, because didnt he also direct a movie about the CIA assassinating people to dramatic music? Hmmm...) But SONY really is at war, WITH THE INTERNET, launching what it has called DOS attacks on DNS servers in an attempt to prevent stolen files from being shared (is that... legal...?). Meanwhile the hacker group Guardians of Peace are releasing another morsel of SONY data EVERY DAY UNTIL CHRISTMAS through an array of zombiebots. Accompanied with taunting notes and very vague (Id say tongue-in-cheek) demands, that are evolving with the media circus in realtime. Sony is making the files harder to find, but the headlines are already tarred in fantasy. It almost doesnt matter what the files are anymore. 50% of Americans are advocating war over a movie theyve never seen (and when that goofy anti-muslim movie was blamed for Bengazi we all laughed)! If corporations are the new nation/state then hackers are the new terrorists, but Sony is not new to this jihad - Anonymous hacked them too....But GOP is managing to wreck Joker-esque mayhem through the news media, who gleefully add fuel to the fire. Now one of their own media pillars is burning and everyone has come to the bonfire with marshmallows. Dont worry about Sony. Despite terrible security they have tons of money - even cyber terrorism insurance more money than you will see in your life.... Im sure the female will get fired (none of the men though) If you have the stomach for it, you you enjoy true crime stories... Or you like watching a sadistic mongoose toy with a cobra in slow motion, this link is the comprehensive day-by-day record, in a story that keeps changing each day! Comprehensive in the technology and the media coverage. History is being made, and erased, right before our eyes. https://riskbasedsecurity/2014/12/a-breakdown-and-analysis-of-the-december-2014-sony-hack/ -- via Holly wetcircuit (goo.gl/KHNYq0)
