Picture make-ups and retakes will take place in room 744 before school and during AB on Wednesday and Friday’s. Students: Please report any vandalism or suspicious activity to administration…. YES: Youth Empowered for Success club is hosting TOUCH THE CART today! Tickets will be sold for $2 during AB and Lunch. So if you think you can touch a golf cart the longest then come out to the court yard TODAY and get the chance to win $75 VISA Gift Card! All money collected goes to the U of A Cancer Research Center. Cookies, cupcakes and SUGAR....oh my!!!! On Halloween, after school by the buses, Fashion Club will be selling desserts for you to enjoy on your way home. All swimmers meet in coach Farrs room at lunch tomorrow, Thursday for an important meeting. Bring your equipment to turn in! All cross country team members will have a mandatory lunch meeting in Mr. Farrs room on Thursday. If you are not running in sectionals, bring your clean uniform. Attention all Freshmen and Sophomores interested in wrestling this year. There will be a meeting in the wrestling room during AB today (Weds). Check in with your AB teacher and then report to the wrestling room. Attention All BOBCATS! Your Cienega Cheerleaders are having their annual Fall Showcase on Saturday, November 2nd at 12:00pm in the main gym. There will be cheer and dance teas from the Vail community as well. Admission is $3 at the door. Come support the ones who support you! We hope to see you there! Girls basketball try outs start Monday, November 4th. JV tryouts will start at 3:30 and Varsity at 5:30 in the main gym. Hey, poets, Absom poetry club meeting will be Thursday instead of Wednesday this week due to a faculty meeting, just for this week, 10/30 Attention seniors! The Big senior picture at the football stadium will take place next Friday, November 8th during AB. Please be prepared with any shirts you want decorated. We will see you at the field! Seniors….Jostens is going to be on campus Wednesday, Oct. 30th during lunch and for a Parent night from 5-7pm to take your Cap & gown order. This is the last time they will be on campus before the Nov. 15th deadline. There will be a Be Kind meeting this Wednesday in room 302. Bring your lunch.. all are welcome! Senior Ads are on sale now! A full page is $250, a half page is $150, and a quarter page is $75. Please e-mail Mr. Tatham for questions. He and his team will help you design the best page possible for your senior! Students who will be attending a state university and are in grades 10 through 12 are encouraged to apply for the Earn to Learn program. If you meet the eligibility requirements, you can save up to $500.00 and then Arizona Earn to Learn will contribute 4000.00 towards your tuition! Go to the counselor link on the CHS website and complete the participant survey by November 15th to be eligible for this program. Space is limited, so dont delay. Students: Anyone playing winter sports, please get your athletic packets turned in to the 400 office by Thursday, October 31. If your forms are not in, you will not be able to try out. All boys interested in playing basketball need to have all paperwork in to the 400 office to be eligible to tryout. We have one open gym left this Wednesday at 6:00. Tryouts begin Monday November 4th. Freshman tryouts begin at 3:30 and Junior Varsity and Varsity tryouts begin at 6:00! Quarter 2 TopCat lists have been posted. Please check to see if you have earned TopCat status for Quarter 2 and pick up your reward in Mr. Tathams classroom, 325. You may only pick up your new coupon booklet and lanyard before school and during lunch for the next 2 weeks. The last day to pick up your reward is Friday, November 1st. Whether you are a student planning to go to college, a vocational school or the military, or you’re just not sure about what you want to do yet, the ASVAB Career Exploration Program can provide you with important information about your skills, abilities and interests and help set you on the right course for a satisfying career. The ASVAB is a free test and it will be offered to juniors and seniors here at Cienega high school on Friday, November 1st from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. To register for the test see Mrs. Graham in the 400 house or contact her at 879-2819 or [email protected]. PLEASE REMEMBER STUDENTS, if you receive a pass for reteach and choose the skip this wonderful opportunity for extra help, you will serve an afterschool detention on the day you skipped. Reteach is just one more way we show how much we care about your education!!!
