DAILY INSPIRATION! 10-29-2013 THE COVENANT-MAKING GOD Foundation Scriptures: “1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. 6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. 7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: And it was so. 8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day. 9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: And it was so. 10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: And God saw that it was good. 11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: And it was so. 12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: And God saw that it was good. 13 And the evening and the morning were the third day. 14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: 15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: And it was so. 16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: He made the stars also. 17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, 18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: And God saw that it was good. 19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day. 20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. 21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: And God saw that it was good. 22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. 23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day. 24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: And it was so. 25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: And God saw that it was good. 26 And God said, Let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in His Own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. 29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. 30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: And it was so. 31 And God saw every thing that He had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.” (Genesis 1) As I said this is God’s first declared covenant with man that is good and it is so, it is established forever! We were given dominion over all the earth, the creatures and the ground. When Adam committed high treason against God it was lost for all who are sons of Adam, not born again, and the ground has been cursed, etc. But the covenant is still in effect to those who are delivered from the curse through faith in Jesus’ substitutionary work, and we live in the blessings because of Jesus! “And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.” (Luke 4:14) When God created the world He released His Word; and there was no challenge against Hid faith at the creation. God created the ultimate, in His Own image, with the Word of His power. After the fall, God created another with His Word, the Son of Man, by making a covenant with man. “6 And again, when He bringeth in the Firstbegotten into the world, He saith, And let all the angels of God worship Him. 7 And of the angels He saith, Who maketh His angels spirits, and His ministers a flame of fire. 8 But unto the Son He saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of Thy kingdom. 9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even Thy God, hath anointed Thee with the oil of gladness above Thy fellows. 10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of Thine hands: 11 They shall perish; but Thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; 12 And as a vesture shalt Thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but Thou art the same, and Thy years shall not fail.” (Hebrews 1:6-12) The Kingdom of God under Christ is established forever. Jesus operated as the Son of Man filled with the Holy Spirit, both bridging the gap between God and man, and setting us an example as the Son of Man how we are to walk on earth, filled with the Holy Spirit and speaking God’s Word before satan, men, and so we can hear our own words and faith be built up in us! Jesus was also the Son of God here on earth, that couldn’t be removed from Him, but He didn’t operate AT ALL as the Son of God, because He had to be the first-born among MANY brethren, so He set aside all His Godly power while here on earth! “5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made Himself of no repution, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given Him a Name which is above every name: 10 That at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the Glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2:5-11) It was because of this very reason the gap was bridged and Jesus earned His Name through His obedience to the cross having gone to die for us as the Son of Man,full of the Holy Spirit and in the power of the Holy Spirit, not the Son of God! To preach is to make a covenant. After Jesus was filled of the Holy Ghost when He was baptized in the Jordan River, He was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, for forty days and was tempted of the devil. As the Son of Man being filled with the Holy Spirit Jesus totally defeated Satan by resisiting Him with the Word of God in the three major catagories of sin that first were found in Lucifer and caused his fall, and it was the same three catagories that caused Adam’s fall, but Jesus won the victory over all sin. “15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. (1 John 2:15-16) He had been filled with the Holy Spirit, but after defeating Satan we find this. “Then Jesus went back full of and under the power of the [Holy] Spirit into Galilee, and the fame of Him spread through the whole region round about.” (Luke 4:14; AMPLIFIED) He had been filled with the Holy Spirit, but His victory over Satan enabled Jesus to be full and under the power of the Holy Spirit! “34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: 35 But in every nation he that feareth Him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with Him. 36 The Word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:) 37 That Word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached; 38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: Who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with Him.” (Acts 10:34-38) The anointing is on the Word to accomplish what is preached! “42 And He commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is He which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead. 43 To Him give all the prophets witness, that through His Name whosoever believeth in Him shall receive remission of sins. 44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.” (Acts 10:42-44) “And it came to pass on a certain day, as He was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.” (Luke 5:17) “11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; 12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: 13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the Blood of Christ. 14 For He is our peace, Who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; 15 Having abolished in His flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in Himself of twain one new man, so making peace; 16 And that He might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: 17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. 18 For through Him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. 19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God.” (Ephesians 2:11-19) At the Cross Jesus brought us into the commonwealth of Israel, all of their covenants and much more, and gave us hope. He preached the Gospel of Peace to all and made it possible for all to be fellow citizens with all the saints, and part of the household of God! GLOOOOOOOOOOORY! You are blessed and Jesus is Lord over every area of your life!
