DAILY SPIRITUAL FOOD; REMEMBER LOTS WIFE AND ESCAPE ETERNAL TORMENTS IN HELL. Remember Lot’s wife. Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it. I tell you, in that night there will be two men in one bed: the one will be taken and the other will be left. Two women will be grinding together: the one will be taken and the other left. Two men will be in the field: the one will be taken and the other left.”Luke 17;32-36 Biblical Texts; Genesis 19;1-29 Complacency is one dangerous key that opens the door to hell/pains and thus remains one important spiritual key the devil uses to manipulate the lives and destinies of humanity. However Jesus came down from heaven purposely to give us the divine keys to destroy this misery the wicked one uses to inflict pains and sufferings. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed[a] in heaven.”Matthew 16;19 And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me,[h] “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. 18 I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forever more. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.Revelation 1;17-18 “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, ‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens”:[c] 8 “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it;[d] for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.Revelation 3;7-8 Yes He came to close this satanic door to sin/misery/hell and to open the door to a new life of great opportunities and beginnings. Do not miss this kind gesture from the Lord like Lots wife so you do not miss the great inheritance and glory God has promised and reserved for you. Friends,God is calling us back to his loving embrace and protection by leaning from the grievous mistake lots wife and other careless people made in the past that cost them their inheritance in Gods kingdom. There are so many positive lessons to learn from the biblical narrative (story) of Lots wife which will enable us amend our ways and adequately prepare for rapture and earn glorious places for ourselves in heaven. The following are the lessons God wants us all to learn from above biblical narrative. 1.Lots wife acted in gross disobedience and paid dearly with her life; She invariably lost her portion in heaven. Obedience is one of the most essential keys to pleasing and receiving from God. Obedience opens the door to Gods presence while disobedience closes this divine door.(Deuteronomy 28;15-29,Ezekiel 18;4,20) 2.The second lesson is that people should not take the grace of God for granted Christian believers are enjoined not to frustrate the saving grace of a loving God and as a result invite the anger and punishment of God into their lives. For if we sin wilfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgement, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,”[e] says the Lord. And again, “The Lord will judge His people.” It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.Hebrews 10;26-31 (Amos 6;1-8) 3. It is a divine call to self-denial; God has commanded us to deny the pleasures,fashions and systems of this wicked world that is soon coming under the destructive harmer of God. Lots wife anchored her hope/life on the passing treasures of this devilish world and perished with it. Friends, self denial involves total consecration(submission) to God and a strong desire to flow along the propelling force/direction of the Holy Spirit. Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.1 John 2;15-17 4. It is a call to forsake all and follow God and his reconstruction works in our lives. Friends God makes a fresh start with us when He intervenes in our lives and thus expects us to renounce all we have previously engaged in so he can begin a brand new work in our Christian walk with him. God will not do anything in our lives until we have totally left the past and trust Him for a true regeneration and a bright and glorious future. Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily,[a] and follow Me.Luke 9;23 “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. Luke 14;26-27 5. Another lesson God wants us to learn from the story of Lots wife is that He wants us to treasure his refreshing,life-giving presence more than anything else; He wants to have sweet uninterrupted fellowship with us always and does not want us to share this precious time with anything else. Lots wife tried to share this precious time with the attractions and material things in Sodom and Gomorrah and completely lost all on the altar of complacency. One thing I have desired of the Lord,That will I seek:That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life,To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple. For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock. And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle;I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord. Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice! Have mercy also upon me, and answer me.Psalm 24;4-7 6. Lots wife broke the divine unity which existed before the angelic rescue and got stocked and went up in flames with Sodom and Gomorrah. Adam and Eve made the same mistake and paid dearly for it with their lives.They all destroyed the triangular fellowship/relationship with God and lost the glory and protection of God. We are reminded as Christian believers that we must strive at all cost to treasure and sustain this divine fellowship with God if we stand a chance of pleasing him and eventually inheriting his glorious promises which he has reserved for His obedient children. 7. The final lesson we need to learn from this biblical narrative is that it gives us a glimpse manifestation of the impending rapture when Jesus will return to take the saints home. It symbolizes the dramatic way God will separate His people from the sinners and guide them home to safety. Lot and his daughters were separated from his complacent wife and were guided to safety by the angels of God. Is it not ironic that the same angels will be used by God to separate and guide his saints home? ...but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed. “In that day, he who is on the housetop, and his goods are in the house, let him not come down to take them away. And likewise the one who is in the field, let him not turn back. Remember Lot’s wife. Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.1Thessalonians 4;13-18 Brethren God is warning and calling us to complete repentance so we do not end up badly like lots wife. He is visiting and sending various human vessels across the nations of the world through his prophetic word of salvation to urge all to re-examine their ways/lives and make necessary amends so we can qualify for rapture and avoid the enduring pains and punishment of hell. Remember the word of God /warning which he is bringing to us is for our reproof,correction and action. Avoid the spirit of complacency and allow the Holy Spirit of God to perfect the work of grace the blood of Jesus started in your life. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.2 Timothy 3;16-17 May God enable us learn great lessons from the mistakes of Lots wife in Jesus name//Amen.
