DAN TAYLOR MEMORIAL HOCKEY MATCH A friendly match was played between the Muscat Foxes and Team Coorg in memory of our former teammate and colleague Dan Taylor. The match played on the grounds of the British School Muscat, had all the excitement of a competitive match. With both teams pushing the limits of speed and skill, it was a treat for the spectators to watch the clean quick passes and the lively interactions between team members on ground. The referees Andy Taylor, proud father of Dan, officiated the match along with Devaiah who had a busy time running up and down the lines while Iain Liversage, captain of the Muscat Foxes did well to rally his team to bring down the goal difference. Team Coorg won the match 4-3 although the pick of the goal came from Muscat Foxes player Jarvis Ahamed, slamming the goal onto the roof of the net from an acute angle. Dan, a keen hockey enthusiast, known for his ability to create goal scoring opportunities as a centre-forward and for the camaraderie he brought on and off the pitch, passed away last year at a very young age. The closeness both teams shared with Dan was evident in the game and in their continued association.
