Remember that 2008 and 2009 had NO investments worldwide due to world global recession and also that large investments takes a few years to plan and approve. And of course, in the subsequent years, 2012 and 2013, investments into Penang plummeted to 6th and 5th place respectively. FACT! PROPAGANDA No. 2: Penang contributes two-thirds of the medical tourism in Malaysia. - Aiyah! This was a deliberate move by the previous Penang state govt and part of the Rancangan Malaysia ke 7 lah.. look!!! Even in 2006, Penang medical tourism has already boomed and is no.1 in Malaysia. PROPAGANDA No. 6: Penang is the only state in Malaysia to be praised by Transparency International for the state governments open tender and CAT governance, based on competency, accountability, and transparency. - if you can trust Transparency Internationals judgement then you should also that Malaysia has improved in corruption over the years and now stands as the top 30% least corrupted country in the World. The state government is committed to wipe out hardcore poverty and ensures that every familys income is at least RM500 a month. - Dude, minimum wage is RM900 per month lah. What RM500? Also, do you think Penang runs the Federal govt welfare depts and 1AZIM and the rest of the poverty eradication programs? Wah RM100 annually ONLY to senior citizens including billionaire grandparents ???? Federal govt gives BR1M that is now RM700 annually to any person in the lower income groups (including senior citizens). PROPAGANDA No. 7: Penang has the highest increase in air-travelers (30%) in 2010, as compared to other Malaysian airports. - You think KLIA and LCCT die already issit or KLIA and LCCT are not Malaysian airports? Also, before 2008, Penang was ALREADY the most-travalled domestic airport in Malaysia. Over the years before 2008, it has already undergone numerous upgrades, PROPAGANDA No. 7: Penang has zero unemployment rates and is currently having a shortage of workers. - By the way, it is IMPOSSIBLE to have zero unemployment.
