DARKNESS FALLS UPON ZIMBABWE: Itai Dzamara. BRUTALLY CUT DOWN BY MUGABES BLOOD THIRSTY ZANU REPUBLIC POLICE (ZRP). Never in 34 years of the despot Mugabes rule, has Zimbabwe seen such a daring act of bravery by one man, such as we have seen from Itai Dzamaras outright defiance to oppressive authority. Defying Mugabe is, inherently fraught with danger yet Itai has taught us that, the constitution allows for peaceful protest. Today however, Mugabes ruthless regime has finally decided to flex its muscle and assault Itai Dzamara, in broad daylight and continue to assault him even when he had lost consciousness in what is evidently an attempt to murder him on MUGABES express instructions. Our hearts and thoughts go out to Itai Dzamara, his family and all those who today were brutalised by the vicious, feral police force. Itai Dzamaras battle was not for personal gain but for the whole nation, for our children and descendants. He now lies, alone in pain, Hospitalised in Harare hospital and the extent of his injuries is yet to be know. Opposition are chillingly silent over such a brave and progressive act of defiance to the Zanu PF despot leader Mugabe. One questions, opposition commitment to the peoples struggle or is it all about not supporting him because he was making headway alone without the mass following they command . It is time that Zimbabweans seriously contemplate the ultimate sacrifice against the brutal regime. We need to take to the streets in a wave of uncontrollable defiance and make Zimbabwe ungovernable. We must do all we can to make Mugabe;s governance untenanable. We cannot sit back and watch such callous acts by the regime. If peaceful protest, sanctioned by the police, invites violence against civilians then its fair to say we all have aright to defy oppressive authority. Mugabe may hang charges of terrorism, subversion and undermining the authority of the president over our heads but we all know that we are simply claiming our rights. Opposition should now also be actively engaged in this development. The oppositions failure to lend their voice and support to such a noble, peaceful peoples cause, smacks of hypocrisy. Today they remain silent and refuse to stand up for our cause, one which literally shapes the political dispensation for tomorrow but when its time to vote, they will be the first to cry for our vote. Itai Dzamaras occupy Africa Unity initiative has certainly been an eye opener for us all. To the discerning eye, who really deserves your support , silent opposition or suffering Itai Dzamara? Im just saying! Zimbabwe does not belong to Mugabe, Zim1 family, Zanu PF stalwarts and securocrats. It belongs to all people, black, white, Ndebele, Shona, any tribe or political orientation. What we do today is not for us, but for our children and descendants. History can never forgive us for sitting back and allowing the despot regime to brutalise our kith and kin such as Itai Dzamara, for standing up for all of us. Lets all rise up in defiance and reclaim the motherland back from the criminal regime.
