DAVID Prentice has finally relented and answered an SOS from Avalon’s Premier League squad. After helping the Reds gain promotion last season, he elected to sit out 2013 after getting married and to work on his golf handicap. The lanky striker returned against Mosman a couple of weeks ago and is keen for a big game against St Augustine’s at Careel Bay this Saturday. One time Saint and Avalon teammate Daniel Bateup returns from suspension in the nick of time, with relegation a real concern. Next weekend’s clash with fellow strugglers Beacon Hill looms as one of the games to watch in 2013 with so much riding on the result.
