DAY 324 ~ WELCOME TO THE RED TENT; Once a month I am contentious Once a month I am insane Once a month I rant and rave And drive everyone insane This volcanic rise to rage It hasnt changed a bit Even at this age I look back at all the years And see the changes made The rapid altered course Heartfelt pleading rampage The wanderings to distant shores A week before the flood Like a cauldron bubbles blood My belly swells as if with child Emotions running wild I might buy some high heeled shoes Cry and sing the blues Dye my hair and get it cut Open windows slam doors shut Dig up foundling plants Wear tight orange corduroy pants Paint my nails red Flee, crying to my bed I will say outrageous things Not caring if it stings Paint my bathroom green Imagine I am queen Eat chocolate, watch a movie If it doth behove me Sell my car and rent a jeep Reminisce and weep A wise woman she told me To embrace this tumult and this fire To run with this desire We are women, we follow moon Dance to the beat of our womb She told me show no shame Yourself you cannot blame Follow the blood red path Of Eve and all before her Dont repress it, hide, or deny it Breathe it, cry it, sigh it Open gates and rip down dams Show no shame for your demands I am tender now, and hungry I am soft and kind and lonely My feelings I did vent Now I withdraw to the Red Tent.
