DAY 50 PALM SPRINGS SUB 5 TRAINING- 17 workouts- did 6 swims, 6 runs, 3 bikes, 2 yoga sessions. Great week! I feel ready to accomplish my goal in 6 days. My objective is to keep my swim under 35 minutes, keep my bike average above 22 mph, and run 7:40 pace or better as well as keep transition times under 5 minutes. I feel very confident. This week I will just do two workouts a day and keep them very light and easy. I will get to bed early and get plenty of rest. I plan to keep my diet spot on. I feel the best prepared for this race than I have ever been and I expect great results. Had 3 juices and 2 smoothies, I did have a slice of vegan pizza at whole foods I must admit and I also ate a peanut butter cup. Today I swam 1.2 miles and it felt great and then I put on my runners and did 12 miles at an very easy and conversational 8:30 pace. I was only planning on 8 mile run however it felt great and the day was nice so I did 4 extra bonus miles. Tomorrow I swim at 5:30 am with masters, I will do a recovery beach run at noon for 4 easy miles. I will do a 2 miles form run and lastly I will do a hot yoga class in the evening!
