DEAR FRIENDS, How forgiving are we, especially of ijuries inflicted by our family or close frieds? How do we handle ANGER and RESENTMENT when it begins to control and consume us? A trapped snake can become some angry that it will bite itself. That is a perfect image of what happens whe we let anger and resentment control us. We end up biting ourselves, not our enemies. The truth is we are harming ourslves more than we think we are harming our enemies. Doctors have always told us that many of their patients are victims of their own anger and resentment. They sick because they are consumed by anger and hatred. The best medicine we could take is to follow the teachings of JESUS: "Do good to those who hate us.....and pray for those who maltreat us. If we do this, Psalm 57:6 assurs us that even if our enemies dig a pit in our path, they will fall into it themslves. Let us always pray God, our loving father to teach us to forgive others, especially members of our own family. May God give us the grace to forgives one another in JESUS NAME. AMEN!!!!!
