DEBATE IS TONIGHT!!!! PLEASE WATCH THIS!!! LOUISIANA PUBLIC BROADCASTING TO HOST THE FIRST TELEVISED U.S. SENATE DEBATE ON OCTOBER 14. U.S. Senate candidates incumbent Mary Landrieu, Congressman Bill Cassidy and Col. Rob Maness will square off on Tuesday, October 14 at 7 p.m. as CABL and LPB host the first statewide televised debate of the campaign. In addition to the six-station LPB network, the hour-long debate will also air on WYES and WLAE-TV in New Orleans. The debate at Centenary College in Shreveport will be moderated by LPB President/CEO Beth Courtney and CABL President Barry Erwin. The candidates will be questioned by a panel of reporters that includes Louisiana: The State We’re In’s Anchor/Producer Shauna Sanford, La Politics and LaPolitics Weekly publisher and editor Jeremy Alford, columnist Stephanie Grace from The Advocate, and Alan English, the Executive Editor and General Manager of The Times in Shreveport. There will also be questions sent in from citizens around the state.
