And in Judges 5 : 1 - 31, Deborah sang of Israels victory over the Canaanite King of Jabin and his commander Sisera. In the New Testament, Luke 1 : 67 - 79 recounts the can- ticle of Zechariah, where he sings of GODs tender mercy as HE brought redemption. to HIS people. In the canticle of Mary, she sings of GODs salvation : the sending of the Messaiah, now in her womb. The canticle of Mother Mary, also known as the Magni- ficat, is a song of her gratitude to GOD. Lowly and powerless through she was, GOD had done great things for her, using her to fulfill HIS promise of redemption. Have you proclaimed your gratitude to GOD in a song of praise ?
