DECEMBER 19: CHANGE/GIVING Whatever we give to another, we give to ourselves. We feel bad after we have intentionally harmed or undermined the well-being of someone else. No doubt our mean-spiritedness went unnoticed by some, probably those who are more convinced of the rewards of offering only love to the world. How much more peaceful our path would be if we followed their example. We don’t have to make huge changes in our lives to begin feeling much better. One act, one moment at a time, will result in monumental changes before we know it. What can we do? We can smile, always, instead of frowning or pouting. We can say please and thanks every time we have an exchange with another. We can listen with our hearts rather than the ego. We can make the decision to stay silent if what we are about to utter isn’t loving. I WILL REMEMBER TODAY THAT WHEN I SMILE AND LISTEN, CHANGE OCCURS.
