****DELAY IN PAYMENT OF PF INTEREST ARREARS**** ****NOINO TAKES UP THE ISSUE ONCE AGAIN******* NOINO has once again taken up the matter of delay in payment of arrears of PF Interest(Interest rate 8.50% instead of 8.25%) to the employees who retired during the Financial year 2012-2013. The reminder submitted to ED(F&A) today i.e. 12th September 2013, has been reproduced below:- ______________________________________________________ 12.9.2013. Respected Sir, Re: DELAY in payment of Difference of interest on PF to retired employees Please refer to our letter dated 12th August 2013 on the above issue. In the said letter we had raised the issue of paying the difference of interest (@8.5% instead of 8.25%) to the employees who have retired in the last financial year. On inquiring about the status of the above issue, we have been informed that the difference is yet to be paid. One month has elapsed since we pointed out this delay through our letter. We fail to understand as to why it is taking so much time to settle this issue. Is it because the issues of the employees are always kept on the back-burner? Is it because the developer/s is/are overburdened? Whatever may be the reason, it does not behove well with a progressive employer like ours that we are delaying the payment in the case of the retired employees. It is not a good sign that the senior citizens who have served the Corporation for many years have to wait to have their rightful dues. We strongly demand that the issue should be settled forthwith.
