DEMONSTRATION OF A LOVING DADS FORGIVENESS AND UNDERSTANDING! Some years back, My Father happened to buy a 2kg piece of meat and asked me to head home and prepare it nicely for supper. I used to run the family business together with him. So Id go home much earlier since he was naturally overprotective to me! (I really liked it) His favourites were fried meat and fried eggs. (Just like me). Daddy knew his Baby Girl would always do a wonderful job in the Kitchen and so he had confidence that she would not disappoint him! So off I left the shop with the neatly wrapped meat + other personal goods and boarded a Public Vehicle (Matatu) to town. Now, I happen to be a lady with many activities to do in town, but this meat day proved that I could lay off the endless activities and immediately boarded another Matatu to take me home. I was unusually anxious since I wanted to cook differently that day. (As I had confidently assured Daddy). While in the Matatu, I pondered in my mind all I needed to do to make the (unusually special) meat differently Tasty. So on reaching my destination, I quickly walked the 900 meters stretch that leads to my home and was esctatic on arrival! I was Happy! For no apparent reason, Anxiety was high as I started off my cooking. On washing my hands, I suddenly remembered that clothes were outside drying since morning. So I rinsed my hands and hurriedly went out to unhang the (Load) of clothes! They were indeed alot! It took me about 15 mins to do so and was now ready to be the days Chef! As custom, I first of all washed my hands and was ready to act Chef! I prepared the knife and the chopping board ready to cut the meat in managable pieces!. I looked for the meat in the place I had left it but nothing! It was not there! I searched Everywhere in the Kitchen but it was nowhere to be seen! I really thought I had lost it! I even went to the Sitting room and the dining area to look for the Raw Delicacy but my eyes insisted that they were functioning well! The meat was not there! I again thought of looking for it in the most wierd of places...my bedroom; but my oh my! It wasnt there! (Please dont ask why I went to search for it there....(Desperate times calls for Desperate? ......!) I went back to the Kitchen and pondered what to do. Now, I happened to have a Wild Domestic Pet Cat (Usis Mom) of whom I had adopted 2 years before. She still had the wildly instincts in her and so she was extreemly sturbon! She would open pots (Sufurias), jump on the cooker, open cupboards and would steal bread / other foods! She was however beautiful and very intelligent. I loved her. In a fraction of a second, I remembered I had a cat in the house! Uuuusss! Uuuusssiii! Usialita my Pet!!! Come here! Am home I shouted severally but there was no response from the semi-obedient cat! She knew my voice even from afar and after calling her severally without response, I knew she was up to something! She would normally respond immediately I called. Oh No!!! What do I do? Where do I start? What will I tell Daddy? These Were the questions pondering in my already disturbed mind! As I looked on the other side of the kitchen floor, I saw the paper that wrapped the meat, carelessly thrown! I went and picked it up and found a tiny piece of meat inside. I could not believe it!!! I immediately knew what My Pet was responsible for the loss!!! I looked for her everywhere in the house only to find her on one of the verandas, concentrating on the very large piece of luck! I tried to take the chunk away from her but she was rough and tough, to a point of even threatening to attack me....her good friend? SMH. I watched her from a safe distance as she struggled to walk with the huge chunk heading to a safe secluded place. I was devastated, disturbed, afraid and speechless! I knew Daddy would be very very disappointed. So all I could do now was cry as I prepared a story in my head that would convince Daddy I did not give the meat to Usi deliberately. (I was fond of overfeeding the animal with delicacies) 2 hours later, Daddy knocks on the glass door and All over sudden, my blood runs the opposite direction! I was really scared! 10mins later, food was ready. Daddy longed to eat the differently cooked meat and to his surprise, something was missing in his plate! I looked at his face and before he could utter a word of question, I shakingly told him Sorry Daddy, Usi stole the whole chunk of meat. Thats why theres no meat. Am Sorry. Maybe I left it carelessly in the kitchen as I went to unhang clothes. Please forgive me. Hahahahaaaaa! Daddy laughed out loud! When you live with cats you expect such things to happen! Hahahaha... He said admist laughter. Dont worry about it My Girl! I will buy you another piece of meat tomorrow! OK? The cat found luck ready in waiting! Hahaha. Take it easy my Dear. Let the cat enjoy herself but next time make sure you keep foods in a safe place when going outside the house. OK? OK Dad, Thank you I replied in disbelief! I imagined him quarreling me for being careless! I was so relieved by his kind words. I was humbled that day. I also happened to forgive Usi though she never tasted raw meat again till her death 2yrs later! Those words made me extreemly happy! I knew Daddy loved me and thats why he understood that I was prone to mistakes. He quickly Forgave me because he truly loved me. MORAL OF THE (LONG) STORY GOD loves you because you are HIS Child. HE is ready to forgive you only if youd talk to HIM about it and ask HIM to. Daddy couldnt have known where the meat went to if I hadnt told him. Same case with GOD. HE tells us that if we confess our sins, HE is Faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness! (1 John 1:9) So Be encouraged today. GOD is your Father and is always ready to listen and Forgive you for all the mistakes done. He is very Understanding. *If a human being can be so quick to understand and forgive, how much more can GOD ALMIGHTY be?* #ILOVETheLORD!!!
